Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included this untitled work by Miroslav Tichý. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,250.00 (€ 1,966.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Miroslav Tichý have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 8,689.97).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Miroslav Tichý zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.250,00 (€ 1.966,61) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Miroslav Tichý auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 8.689,97).
