Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century Chinese Art, which included the work Orange by Ming Fay. The price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,771.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ming Fay - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Cherries, which sold at auction in April 2014 for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,438.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Orange von Ming Fay zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 62.500,00 (€ 5.771,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ming Fay mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Cherries beobachtet, die im April 2014 für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.438,72) versteigert wurde.
