Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Golden Buddha by Min Wae Aung was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,573.17) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Min Wae Aung have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2018 the work Dusty Journey was auctioned for HKD 93,750.00 (€ 10,242.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Golden Buddha von Min Wae Aung kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.573,17) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Min Wae Aung konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2018 die Arbeit Dusty Journey für HKD 93.750,00 (€ 10.242,61) versteigert.
