In October this year Bonhams in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Figura con stella by Mimmo Paladino. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 44,800.00 (€ 51,442.85), 49% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mimmo Paladino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Vespero in November 2008 with an auction result of EUR 216,750.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 49 % übertroffen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figura con stella von Mimmo Paladino zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 44.800,00 (€ 51.442,85) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mimmo Paladino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Vespero im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 216.750,00.
