This artwork by Milan Kunc achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2017. In the 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective auction, the work Czech resting Woman sold for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,189.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Milan Kunc; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Psychedelic Afternoon sold at auction in December 2019 with the realized price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,494.52).
