Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Joker by Mikhail Petrovich Klodt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2018. The price achieved of GBP 150,000.00 (€ 169,525.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mikhail Petrovich Klodt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Joker, which sold at auction in November 2008 for GBP 313,250.00 (€ 378,742.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Joker von Mikhail Petrovich Klodt kam im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 150.000,00 (€ 169.525,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Petrovich Klodt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Joker beobachtet, die im November 2008 für GBP 313.250,00 (€ 378.742,79) versteigert wurde.
