Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work St Petersburg Carnival by Mikhail Chemiakin was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in November 2021. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 16,380.00 (€ 19,231.66). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mikhail Chemiakin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life with lemons, which sold at auction in November 2007 for GBP 29,300.00 (€ 41,027.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit St Petersburg Carnival von Mikhail Chemiakin wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 16.380,00 (€ 19.231,66) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Chemiakin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life with lemons beobachtet, die im November 2007 für GBP 29.300,00 (€ 41.027,58) versteigert wurde.
