Despite a disappointment, a good price for Mickey Pallas
When the work Buick Convertible, Chicago, 1959 by Mickey Pallas was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,625.00 (€ 1,096.42). Despite this disappointing result, Buick Convertible, Chicago, 1959 is the most expensive artwork by Mickey Pallas that we have observed at auction so far.
