Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michele di Matteo da Bologna could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Masters & British Paintings auction, the work Christ as the Man of Sorrows, flanked by the Madonna and Saint John the Evangelist changed hands for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,787.23) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michele di Matteo da Bologna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Female Saint in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 37,863.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michele di Matteo da Bologna konnte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden.
