Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Off to the carnival by Michele De Vito was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 454.10 (€ 642.68) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Michele De Vito have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Bay of Naples, Vesuvius beyond in October 2010 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,323.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Off to the carnival von Michele De Vito kam im Dezember 2004 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 454,10 (€ 642,68) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michele De Vito auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Bay of Naples, Vesuvius beyond im Oktober 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.323,81).
