Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of EUR 4,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michel Joseph Speeckaert - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Roses And Baby Chicks, which sold at auction in January 2010 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,419.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A still life with peaches, flowers and grapes on a ledge von Michel Joseph Speeckaert wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 4.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00.
