Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Construction by Michel Guino was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 551.97). Admittedly, works by Michel Guino have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Table in July 2010 with an auction result of EUR 4,463.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Construction von Michel Guino im November 2018 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 625,00 (€ 551,97) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michel Guino auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Table im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.463,00.
