Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Construction by Michel Guino was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 500.00 (€ 441.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michel Guino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Table in July 2010 with an auction result of EUR 4,463.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Construction von Michel Guino im November 2018 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 500,00 (€ 441,58) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michel Guino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Table im Juli 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.463,00.
