This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michel Dureuil; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Le port d'Antibes sold at auction in March 2015 with the realized price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,912.76).
