Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,500.00 (€ 9,202.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Michel II Corneille have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Présentation Au Temple in March 2012 with an auction result of EUR 75,787.00.

Die Arbeit Juno Asking Aeolus To Release The Winds von Michel II Corneille wurde im Januar 2013 in der Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolors Including an Important Canadian Collection and a Distinguished Private Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 9.202,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
