This artwork by Michel II Corneille achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2011. In the Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours auction, the work Four head studies of women and young men, an additional fainter profile of a head at lower left sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,041.93) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michel II Corneille have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Présentation Au Temple in March 2012 with an auction result of EUR 75,787.00.

In der Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours wurde die Arbeit Four head studies of women and young men, an additional fainter profile of a head at lower left für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.041,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michel II Corneille auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Présentation Au Temple im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.787,00.
