The work Anna Salisbury, standing in a garden, facing left in lace-bordered white dress, white shawl draped around her arms, white rose and foliage in her dark hair; lake and landscape background with Chinese pavilion beyond by Michaelo Albanesi was sold in the IMPORTANT PORTRAIT MINIATURES, GOLD BOXES & OBJECTS OF VERTU auction at Christies in London in November 2000. The price achieved of GBP 1,292.50 (€ 2,112.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Other works by Michaelo Albanesi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2020 the work Portrait of a lady, traditionally identified as Princess Maria Anna of Savoy, Empress of Austria (1803-1884) was auctioned for GBP 2,394.00 (€ 2,674.31).
