This artwork by Michelangelo Meucci achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Songbirds in a tree (illustrated); and Pigeons on a wall, with birds in a tree sold for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,826.56) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michelangelo Meucci; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Hanging Fowl with Pomegranate; Hanging Fowl with Cherries sold at auction in March 2003 with the realized price of USD 5,975.00 (€ 5,481.65).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Michelangelo Meucci erzielte im März 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Songbirds in a tree (illustrated); and Pigeons on a wall, with birds in a tree für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.826,56) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00.
