Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work The Beatles at the Cavern (3), Liverpool, 1963 by Michael Ward for GBP 956.25 (€ 1,102.85). This price was achieved in the auction British. Cool. at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Michael Ward have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in February 2021 by the work The Beatles at the Cavern, Liverpool, 1963 at GBP 1,785.00 (€ 2,058.66).
