A top price for Michael Vaughan - as previously expected
In December 2006 Sothebys in London held the auction Marine Art, which included the work The Tallship Stavros by Michael Vaughan. The price achieved of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,795.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Tallship Stavros is the most expensive artwork by Michael Vaughan that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Dezember 2006 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Marine Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Tallship Stavros von Michael Vaughan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.600,00 (€ 9.795,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Tallship Stavros das teuerste Kunstwerk von Michael Vaughan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
