Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Challenger; And Tantalus (Illustrated) by Michael Vaughan was sold in the Maritime & Naval Battles (Pictures) auction at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 712.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Vaughan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Tallship Stavros in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,600.00 (€ 9,795.23).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 712,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden.
