The price achieved of USD 4,780.00 (€ 3,530.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Permit in shallow water is the most expensive artwork by Michael Stidham that we have observed at auctions so far.
