Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Study For Sight, 1967 by Michael Snow was worth USD 4,200.00 (€ 3,409.09) to a buyer in March 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in Online and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 800.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michael Snow; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Morining sold at auction in May 2011 with the realized price of CAD 7,200.00 (€ 5,169.62).
