Sold at the upper estimate price
In September 2018 Christies in London held the auction First Open Online, which included the work Mückenhaus by Michael Sailstorfer. The auction ended at the price of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,123.13), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Sailstorfer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Zeit ist keine Autobahn - Minneapolis in December 2020 with an auction result of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 25,335.58).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im September 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mückenhaus von Michael Sailstorfer zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.123,13) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Sailstorfer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Zeit ist keine Autobahn - Minneapolis im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 25.335,58).
