Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Flowers (Sidey L1) by Michael Rothenstein was sold in the British Printmaking auction at Christies in London in February 2008. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 437.50 (€ 572.23). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Rothenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The White House in May last year with an auction result of GBP 15,120.00 (€ 17,787.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Flowers (Sidey L1) von Michael Rothenstein wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion British Printmaking bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 437,50 (€ 572,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Rothenstein erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The White House im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 15.120,00 (€ 17.787,24).
