Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2005 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Leda and the Swan by Michael Parkes. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 700.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 720.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Parkes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tea in November 2005 with an auction result of EUR 15,600.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Leda and the Swan von Michael Parkes zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 700,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 720,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Parkes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tea im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 15.600,00.
