Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Package-Change Series 08——Naughty (Painted In 2019) by Michael Lau was sold in the Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art auction at China Guardian in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 220,000.00 – 320,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 240,000.00 (€ 26,696.68) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Michael Lau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tolerant (Package - Change Series) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 252,000.00 (€ 257,341.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Package-Change Series 08——Naughty (Painted In 2019) von Michael Lau wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century and Contemporary Art bei China Guardian versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 220.000,00 – 320.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 240.000,00 (€ 26.696,68) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Lau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tolerant (Package - Change Series) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 252.000,00 (€ 257.341,30).
