Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work K2 by Michael Kagan was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 50,400.00 (€ 60,100.22). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Kagan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work It Begins, which sold at auction in June last year for HKD 1,134,000.00 (€ 137,999.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit K2 von Michael Kagan wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 50.400,00 (€ 60.100,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Kagan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit It Begins beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für HKD 1.134.000,00 (€ 137.999,43) versteigert wurde.
