Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2004 Christies in London held the auction At Home - British & Continental Pictures and Works on Paper, which included the work At The Seaside by Michael d'Aguilar. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 515.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael d'Aguilar - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work En Provence, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,586.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion At Home - British & Continental Pictures and Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit At The Seaside von Michael d'Aguilar zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 352,50 (€ 515,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael d'Aguilar mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit En Provence beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.586,66) versteigert wurde.
