Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer, which included the work ‘It Just Came To Pieces In My Hands!’ by Michael Cummings. The price achieved of GBP 688.00 (€ 783.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 600.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Cummings - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work From Clement Attlee To John Major, Ten Prime Ministers, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,846.39).

Im März 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Political Cartoon Collection of Jeffrey Archer durch, in der auch die Arbeit ‘It Just Came To Pieces In My Hands!’ von Michael Cummings zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 688,00 (€ 783,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 600,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Cummings mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit From Clement Attlee To John Major, Ten Prime Ministers beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 2.846,39) versteigert wurde.
