Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (US) by Michael Craig-Martin was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Christies in London in June this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,261.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Craig-Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work With Red Shoes in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 325,000.00 (€ 381,791.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (US) von Michael Craig-Martin wurde im Juni diesen Jahres in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.261,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Craig-Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit With Red Shoes im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.000,00 (€ 381.791,28).
