Auction result well in line with expectations
The work John And Yoko, London, 1967 by Michael Cooper was sold in the Made in Britain / Online auction at Sothebys in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 813.00 (€ 917.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Cooper achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, 1967 in March 2015 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 149,892.93).
