Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Francis Bacon In His Studio by Michael Clark for GBP 1,125.00 (€ 1,448.25). This price was achieved in the auction Modern British and Irish Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Clark achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Francis Bacon in February 2006 with an auction result of GBP 50,400.00 (€ 74,127.09).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Francis Bacon In His Studio von Michael Clark für GBP 1.125,00 (€ 1.448,25) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Clark erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Francis Bacon im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.400,00 (€ 74.127,09).
