In March 2006 Christies in Sydney held the auction THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION, which included the work You'Ve Got Forever by Michael Challis Brown. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 8,365.00 (€ 4,937.41), 39% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Challis Brown - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Little Sheep, which sold at auction in March 2006 for AUD 23,900.00 (€ 14,106.89).

Im März 2006 führte Christies in Sydney die Auktion THE W.R. BURGE COLLECTION durch, in der auch die Arbeit You'Ve Got Forever von Michael Challis Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 8.365,00 (€ 4.937,41) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Challis Brown mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Little Sheep beobachtet, die im März 2006 für AUD 23.900,00 (€ 14.106,89) versteigert wurde.
