Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cloak Design: Macbeth as King, 1942 by Michael Ayrton was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. The price achieved of GBP 535.50 (€ 609.23) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Ayrton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arkville Minotaur in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 205,875.00 (€ 235,248.07).

Die Arbeit Cloak Design: Macbeth as King, 1942 von Michael Ayrton kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 535,50 (€ 609,23) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Ayrton erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arkville Minotaur im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 205.875,00 (€ 235.248,07).
