A top price for Miao Guying
When the work Chrysanthemums By The Hedge by Miao Guying was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 150,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at HKD 600,000.00 (€ 69,342.41). This high result makes Chrysanthemums By The Hedge the most expensive artwork by Miao Guying that we have observed at auctions so far.
