Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Western Art, which included the work Family Pride by Mian Situ. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,573.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mian Situ achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Navajo Trail in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 19,062.50 (€ 16,154.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Western Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Family Pride von Mian Situ zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.573,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mian Situ erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Navajo Trail im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 19.062,50 (€ 16.154,66).
