Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Bashful 16 x 12 in. framed 20 1/4 x 16 1/4 in. by Mian Situ was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in April this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,100.00 (€ 4,619.57). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mian Situ - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Navajo Trail, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 19,062.50 (€ 16,154.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Bashful 16 x 12 in. framed 20 1/4 x 16 1/4 in. von Mian Situ wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.100,00 (€ 4.619,57) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Mian Situ mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Navajo Trail beobachtet, die im August 2021 für USD 19.062,50 (€ 16.154,66) versteigert wurde.
