Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Mian Situ could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Western Art auction, the work Alert at Dusk changed hands for USD 7,650.00 (€ 7,260.13) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mian Situ - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Navajo Trail, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 19,062.50 (€ 16,154.66).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mian Situ konnte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Western Art wechselte die Arbeit Alert at Dusk für USD 7.650,00 (€ 7.260,13) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mian Situ mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Navajo Trail beobachtet, die im August 2021 für USD 19.062,50 (€ 16.154,66) versteigert wurde.
