Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Israeli & International Art, which included the work Wave by Menashe Kadishman. The price achieved of USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,555.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Menashe Kadishman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Birds. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 70,950.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Israeli & International Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wave von Menashe Kadishman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.688,00 (€ 3.555,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Menashe Kadishman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Birds. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 70.950,00.
