This artwork by Menashe Kadishman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2009. In the Israeli and International Art auction, the work Cut-Out Trees sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,505.00) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Menashe Kadishman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Birds. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 70,950.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Menashe Kadishman erzielte im November 2009 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Israeli and International Art wurde die Arbeit Cut-Out Trees für USD 18.750,00 (€ 12.505,00) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Menashe Kadishman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Birds. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 70.950,00.
