Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Melissa Gordon achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in April 2014. In the Under the Influence auction, the work Character Development sold for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,368.47) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Melissa Gordon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Playboy (Cacophony) sold at auction in June 2014 with the realized price of EUR 12,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Melissa Gordon erzielte im April 2014 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Under the Influence wurde die Arbeit Character Development für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.368,47) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Melissa Gordon; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Playboy (Cacophony) im Juni 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 12.500,00.
