In September 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape by Mei Yutian. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,290.66), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mei Yutian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Starving Man in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 126,500.00 (€ 14,619.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im September 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Mei Yutian zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.290,66) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mei Yutian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Starving Man im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 126.500,00 (€ 14.619,69).
