A top price for Mehmet Güleryüz - as previously expected
The work Iki Yaka (The Two Banks) by Mehmet Güleryüz was sold in the Contemporary Art / Turkish auction at Sothebys in London in April 2012. The price achieved of GBP 97,250.00 (€ 119,274.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Iki Yaka (The Two Banks) is the most expensive artwork by Mehmet Güleryüz that we have observed at auctions so far.
