Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art Online Sale, which included the work Noughts and Crosses; Head study (a pair), 2014 by Turay Mederic. The price achieved of GBP 1,211.25 (€ 1,393.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Turay Mederic achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Club 27, 2016 in March last year with an auction result of EUR 44,608.00.
