Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lo Scaccino by Medardo Rosso was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 67,250.00 (€ 75,107.61) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Medardo Rosso have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Enfant Juif in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 341,000.00 (€ 476,973.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lo Scaccino von Medardo Rosso kam im Oktober 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 67.250,00 (€ 75.107,61) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Medardo Rosso auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Enfant Juif im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 341.000,00 (€ 476.973,83).
