Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mayuka Yamamoto achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in November last year. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle auction, the work White dog boy sold for HKD 1,386,000.00 (€ 171,991.28) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mayuka Yamamoto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Little Penguin Boy, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 576,000.00 (€ 588,208.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mayuka Yamamoto erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in association with Yongle wurde die Arbeit White dog boy für HKD 1.386.000,00 (€ 171.991,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Mayuka Yamamoto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Little Penguin Boy beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 576.000,00 (€ 588.208,70) versteigert wurde.
