Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Maximilian Lenz could be acquired at Sothebys in London in May 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Paintings auction, the work Austrian goddess Iduna And Peacock changed hands for GBP 21,250.00 (€ 29,545.89) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maximilian Lenz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Golden Cloak in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 159,200.00 (€ 233,884.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Maximilian Lenz konnte im Mai 2015 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Austrian goddess Iduna And Peacock für GBP 21.250,00 (€ 29.545,89) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maximilian Lenz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Golden Cloak im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 159.200,00 (€ 233.884,92).
