This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Maximilian Alexandrovich Voloshin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Three Crimean landscapes sold at auction in June 2019 with the realized price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,103.71).
