Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Scène de rue, Paris by Max Stern was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art auction at Christies in London in March 2017. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,324.38). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Max Stern - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Children playing with their nanny in a sunlit park, which sold at auction in October 2001 for EUR 24,675.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Scène de rue, Paris von Max Stern wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.324,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Max Stern mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Children playing with their nanny in a sunlit park beobachtet, die im Oktober 2001 für EUR 24.675,00 versteigert wurde.
